SOAPST: Benjamin Frankin Autobiography

Benjamin Franklin wrote an autobiography of himself discussing his life, his achievements, and his thoughts. The book basically covers most of his life, including his teenage years and his political lifestyle. The specific portion that we read in class was that of his earlier years, when he was seventeen years old in 1723. His autobiography deals with moral perfection and self-improvement. He also wrote it to inform others about himself. Franklin's tone is very informative, descriptive, and practical. Franklin emphasizes on a certain number of tasks that we as humans should do in order to achieve moral perfection.
Franklin, for example, made a chart of those things and tried to achieve each and every one of them day by day. Seventeen year old Fraklin practices on his tasks day by day and goes back to the previously learned tasks each time he completes a new one. He started his day off with a question and at the end he tried to answer it to see if he did something good on that day.
